چکیده

Classical colour prediction models do not take fluorescence into account, and their predictions fail if fluorescent substances are contained in the inks. This is due to the fact that the overall spectrum of fluorescent substances depends on the spectrum of the light source. Furthermore, fluorescence is a non linear phenomenon. This study aims at predicting the spectra and the colours of uniform samples produced with one fluorescent ink at different concentrations. The method is based on a “one channel” modelization of the phenomenon where only one direction of propagation is taken into account. This model is used to compute the transmittance spectra of uniform colour samples. The proposed prediction model requires measuring the transmittance spectra, the quantum yields, the absorption bands and the emission spectra of the fluorescent inks. In contrast to existing fluorescence prediction methods, 3,9,13

Predicting the Spectral Behaviour of Colour Printers for Transparent Inks on Transparent Support

A spectral colour prediction model is proposed and applied to an ink jet printer. We limit the field of investigation to transparent inks printed on a transparent substrate. The proposed method is based on the computation of the transmittance spectra of colour primaries applying Beer’s law, and on the calculation of their respective surface coverage using a high resolution grid. The proposed pr...

Spectral Colour Prediction Model for a Transparent Fluorescent Ink on Paper

A new spectral colour prediction model for a fluorescent ink printed on paper is presented. It is based on our previous work on transparent support4 and on a new mathematical formalism which generalizes the Kubelka-Munk theory. The printed paper is modelized by means of three matrices: an interface correction matrix, a matrix exponential modelizing the layer which contains the fluorescent ink, ...

A Comparison between Kubelka-Munk and Geometric Models for Prediction of Reflectance Factor of Transparent Fibers

The reflectance factors of transparent fibers, free delustering agent, are predicted by geometric as well as Kubelka-Munk models. Transparent fibers are simulated by a net of glass capillary tubes containing different solutions of dyestuffs. Based on the results, prediction of the reflectance factor of capillary net by geometric model is relatively better than those obtained from Kubelka-Munk...

Delay-dependent stability for transparent bilateral teleoperation system: an LMI approach

There are two significant goals in teleoperation systems: Stability and performance. This paper introduces an LMI-based robust control method for bilateral transparent teleoperation systems in presence of model mismatch. The uncertainties in time delay in communication channel, task environment and model parameters of master-slave systems is called model mismatch. The time delay in communicatio...
